Jacques Villeneuve Williams F1 race worn suit overalls 1998

Jacques Villeneuve Williams F1 race worn suit overalls 1998

  • £000

These overalls were worn by Jacques Villeneuve during the 1998 French Grand Prix

The reigning Indy car champion joined F1 in 1996 and set the record (that he still holds) for most wins in a debut season only losing the title in the final race to D.Hill. He then went on to win the world championship in 1997 after a season long fight with M.Schumacher.

1998 was JV's title defending year and the French grand prix was one of his best results in finishing 4th. The suit is none tobacco and none Alcohol and was issued in the weeks before the French GP. France is the only race on the calender that was none Tobbaco and Alcohol sponsorship.

The son of an F1 legend, Indy car world champion, F1 world champion, winner of the Indy 500 and runner up (nearly got the whole set) of Le Mans. JV truly has racing in his blood and has raced everything with 4 wheels - trucks, electric cars, stock cars, rally cars, single seaters, Le mans, GT cars and of course single seaters
